Housing

Valencia International Performance Academy & Festival, July 10–20, 2018

Due to heavy tourism, festival, and convention traffic, Valencia is quite crowded during the summer months! Many hotels, hostels, apartments, and residences are booked well in advance. It is advisable to seek housing as soon as a student receives notice of acceptance to the Academy.

The Conservatorio Superior “Joaquin Rodrigo” (Composition Program) building is located at C/Cineasta Ricardo Muñoz Suay s/n. 46013 VALENCIA, very near the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, an area that offers many housing possibilities. The Conservatorio Municipal “José Iturbi” (Piano Program) building is located at Avenida de Baleares, 38. 46023 VALENCIA. The historic center, also full of housing options, is about a 30-40 minute walk from both conservatories, or a 10-15 minute bus ride. There is also a city bicycle rental service called Valenbisi.

HOUSING INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS

VIPA cannot undertake any responsibility for student housing, but we are happy to announce that we have reached an agreement with NH Las Artes and NH Las Ciencias, in order to offer a closed, affordable package of room and breakfast to our students starting at only 28,05 € per night (double occupancy). Both hotels are at a two-minute walk from Conservatorio “Joaquin Rodrigo” (Composition Program) and just across the bridge, about an eight-minute walk from Conservatorio “José Iturbi” (Piano Program) and they are quite new hotels with all necessities and commodities. Upon notification of acceptance into the program, you can make reservations through the following link:

https://www.nh-hotels.com/event/vipa-2018

The amount of rooms available for VIPA students is limited, so we recommend to make reservations as soon as you have been selected.

Please email the organization at info@vipafestival.org concerning any information needed towards lodging, other than the already provided here.

VIPA is unable to make housing arrangements for participants beyond making the above-mentioned discount offer available to them. Whatever option they choose must be reserved and paid for by the student themselves.

MEALS & RECREATION

There is a shopping mall across the street and a good variety of restaurants and “tapas” bars, of all kind of flavors and prices, around both conservatories and the hotel. VIPA encourages students to try and enjoy the diverse culinary possibilities, starting at about 7€ lunch menu.
