Housing

Valencia International Performance Academy & Festival, July 10–20, 2018

Due to heavy tourism, festival and convention traffic, Valencia is quite crowded during the summer months! Many hotels, hostels, apartments and residences are booked well in advance. It is advisable to seek housing as soon as a student receives notice of acceptance to the Academy.

The Conservatory building is located at C/Cineasta Ricardo Muñoz Suay s/n. 46013 VALENCIA, very near the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, an area that offers many housing possibilities. The historic center, also full of housing options, is about a 30-40 minute walk from the hotel and conservatorio, or a 10-12 minute bus ride. There is also a city bicycle rental service called Valenbisi.

HOUSING INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS

VIPA cannot undertake any responsibility for student housing, but we are happy to announce that we have reached an agreement with NH Las Artes and NH Las Ciencias, in order to offer a closed, affordable package of room and breakfast to our students starting at only 27 € per night (double occupancy). Both hotels are at a two-minute walk from the conservatory and they are quite new hotels with all necessities and commodities.

Instructions for making reservations at the discounted price will be sent upon notification of acceptance into the program. Updated information about these hotels will be posted soon.

Please email the organization at vipa.piano@gmail.com concerning any information needed towards lodging, as some hotels will offer special prices for the students of VIPA.

VIPA is unable to make housing arrangements for participants beyond making the discount offer available to them. Whatever option they choose must be reserved and paid for by the student themselves. If you choose to stay at NH Las Artes I or II, VIPA will provide a code so that you can contact the hotel directly.

MEALS & RECREATION

There is a cafeteria in the Conservatory building that offers very affordable student prices, a complete shopping mall across the street and a good variety of restaurants and “tapas” bars, of all kind of flavors and prices, around the area between the hotel and the Conservatory.

Further information about these details will be posted in the near future.
