ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Valencia International Performance Academy is proud to announce the return of its Classical Piano program, led by professors Yuri Bogdanov, Juan Lago, Chen xi Li, Giuliano Mazzoccante, Leonel Morales, Pavel Nersessian, Cathal Breslin and Arkadi Zenziper.
The VIPA 2016 Piano Program took place between July 4-7 at the state-of-the-art facilities of the Conservatorio “José Iturbi” in Valencia, which is one of the most sought-after summer destinations in Europe, mainly thanks to its breathtaking coastline, vibrant cultural life and world-class cuisine.
Enrolled students work closely with performance faculty in coaching piano repertoire of all ages. The course of study and repertoire will be determined on a case-by-case basis by the faculty and performers enrolled.
Students can specify teacher preference. As far as possible and by order of registration, the organization will try to accommodate requests, but it’s encouraged to take lessons by as many different teachers as possible, in order to obtain the best benefit from the VIPA experience and its diversity.
Active students will receive 4 individual lessons. In addition to working closely with faculty, all students enrolled in the performance program will have complete access to all other VIPA events, workshops, masterclasses, presentations, and concerts, including the VIPA Conductor’s Program and the VIPA Composition Program. A culminating concert will be given by the students of the piano program, performing repertoire that they have coached with faculty.
The faculty will select the active students who participate in the concerts. All students receive a certificate of participation in the VIPA. Classes will take place from 10 to 14hs and from 16 to 20hs every day.
The 2017 VIPA Piano Performance Program will soon be open for applications. Please check back late-November 2016.
2016 VIPA Piano Performance Program accepts submissions for Participants and Auditors
As a PIANO PERFORMANCE PARTICIPANT, you will receive coachings from performance faculty in addition to participating in sessions with guest pianists and faculty. AUDITORS are entitled to observe lessons, classes and all other VIPA events but will not receive coachings or lessons.
